NFC-Chiptypes

Like RFID Technology NFC comes with a variety of choices that have to be made. NFC tags, labels or products can differentiate a lot by integrating different ICs.

Which NFC Chip?
The NFC Chip Every NFC tag, label, sticker or product consists of an NFC 'chip' or 'IC' (integrated circuit) and an antenna. Together they form the transponder, a device that can store information and through the chip/ic it controls how the tag can be accessed.

NFC IC Types
Different NFC chips have different sizes of memory, different memory configurations as well as can have integrated security functionality. The application demands what kind of IC has to be choosen. This affects the amount of information you can store on certain chips but it also affects how the chip can be locked and other very important factors.
