HID Global Helps Dental Council of India Streamline Time and Attendance System with Access-Control Solutions

HID Global announced that the company’s network access control and biometric reader solutions have been selected by the Dental Council of India (DCI) to streamline their time and attendance management system. The new, centralized identification system with biometrics also increased overall security by eliminating the potential unauthorized use of access cards.


SCM Microsystems Wins Further Orders for Overall 10,000 German eHealth Terminals

SCM eHealth200-BCSSCM Microsystems, a provider of solutions for secure access, secure identity and secure exchange and a business unit of Identive Group, Inc. announced that it has received its first orders for 10,000 eHealth terminals to support the relaunch of the electronic health card program in Germany. SCM has begun shipping both its eHealth200 desktop and eHealth500 mobile health card terminals for the program, which involves the deployment of more than 80 million electronic health insurance cards to German citizens.


LVR InfoKom Rolls out Hypercom's medCompact to 10 Hospitals in Germany

Hypercom Corporation announced that LVR InfoKom, the leading IT service provider for social organizations in Germany's North Rhine region, has rolled out up to 230 medCompact e-Health terminals to support approximately 7,000 health care professionals at 10 hospitals serving annually more than 50,000 patients. The rollout is believed to be the largest of its type for Germany 's new e-Health card program.

"LVR's rollout of Hypercom's medCompact means that thousands of health care professionals at ten major hospitals in the Rhineland region will be able to quickly and securely authenticate and process the new electronic health insurance cards," said Ulf H?nick, Vice President Healthcare, Hypercom Corporation. "LVR's decision to team with Hypercom is a win-win for hospitals, health care professionals and patients."


Hypercom Rolls Out medCompact Healthcare Terminal

Hypercom Corporation announced that it has officially commenced the rollout of its medCompact healthcare terminal as part of the migration to the new e-Health card program in Germany. The first unit was purchased and installed at a doctor's practice in the North Rhine region of Germany during a ceremony attended by representatives of the German government, health insurance companies and the medical practitioners'' self-governing body.


ASSA ABLOY ITGs terminal approved for live trial of German electronic health card

OMNIKEY CardMan® e-Health 8751 LAN terminal tested in pharmacies and medical practices in Germany has received approval for its new terminal OMNIKEY CardMan® e-Health 8751 LAN. The device has been certified by the “Gesellschaft für Telematikanwendungen der Gesundheitskarte mbH” (gematik) and is now being deployed in the broad-based live trial of the German Electronic Health Card. In phase 1, the so-called 10,000 test, users in pharmacies, medical practices and clinics are currently testing the components of the health project infrastructure, including the electronic health card and the terminal.
